Karwar Beach
You must visit Karwar beach to feel nature's true essence. Long stretches of Golden sands and gentle waves welcome you to this uncluttered, peaceful pristine beauty. It needs a special mention that the great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore was inspired by this beauty which he has expressed in 'Prakritir Pratishodh', one of his earliest works.
Malpe Beach
is around 386 km form Bangalore and about 6 kms from Udupi. The Malpe is an ideal picnic spot with its virgin beach. The endless stretch of golden sand, graciously swaying palm trees, the clear blue sky and the gurgle of the sea all set the perfect mood for an unforgettable holiday here. You can indulge in boating, fishing and various other fun activities.
Murudeshwara Beach
Murudeshwar is a town located in the Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada district. Murudeshwar beach situated between Honnavar and Bhatkal, 1 km off the National Highway is the scenic holy place of Murudeshwar.It is a popular picnic spot, having beautiful blue waters of the sea and the majestic mountains. With the roaring sea to the west, the towering hills to the east and the coconut and areca groves nearby, the temple attracts a lot of devotees and tourists as well.
Gokarna
is a religious place as well as a tourist attraction. It is an ideal place for trekking too. You get ample opportunity to explore the beautiful beaches (Kudle beach and Om beach nearby), visualisation of the simple living style of the local villagers. It brings the panoramic beauty of sea banks, those who are looking for least lavishness with most space idled out, Gokarna beach offers the same, with only the sun, the waves and the seagulls for company. One can enjoy a pretty good bath in this sea beach, a hippy paradise with drums, hammocks and guitars.
Maravanthe
beach is located about 30 miles from Udupi. The eternal stretch of yellow sand, influential palm foliage, apparent blue sky and the clear seashore attract thousands of tourists to Maravanthe beach. You can indulge ini fishing, boating and various other fun activities. It is safe for swimming too. Do not miss the spectacular sun sets.
Panambur Beach
is a popular outing located 13 km from Mangalore and lies next to the New Mangalore Port. The pristine surrounding adds awe and charm to the place. It is one of the best beaches in Mangalore because of its its cleanliness and safety measures. The beach is also known as the land of money, "panam" meaning money and "ur" meaning a place in Tulu, the local language.
