National Parks of Arunachal Pradesh

1. Mouling National Park famous for the goat-antelopes and birds is situated in the Upper Siang  district of Arunachal Pradesh. It covers an area of 483 sq km and was declared a National Park in the year 1986. The ecosystem of the Mouling National Park is rich in flora & fauna. There are varied species of wildlife with some rare to find animals, birds and plantations. The wild life includes hoolock gibbon, leopard, red panda, elephant, tiger, etc.
2. Namdapha National Park has the richest diversity of flora and fauna in the Indian Sub continent. This is because of its bio geographical location within the Indo-Chinese sub-region and its great altitudinal variation from 4,500 metres at Daphabum (highest point) to 200 meters in the lowest valleys. It has great biodiversity of flora and fauna. More than 150 species of timber found here. The Pinus merkusi and Abies delavavi are not found elsewhere in India. One of the rarest and endangered orchids, the Blue vanda is seen here. It is the only park in the world to have four Feline species of big cat namely Tiger (Panthera Tigris), Leopard (Panthera pardus), Snow Leopard (Panthera Uncia) and Clouded Leopard (Neofelis Nebulosa). Highly endangered and only 'ape' species found in India dwells here.
