About the State: A beautiful hill state of India, Himachal Pradesh takes its name from Himalayas. The state has so much to offer, from vast tracts of high altitude Trans Himalayan desert to dense green deodar forests, from apple orchards to cultivated terraces, from snow capped high Himalayan mountain ranges to snow fed lakes and gushing rivers.
'The Land of Gods' as it is known is surrounded by Jammu & Kashmir in the North, Punjab in the West and Tibetan Plateau in the east. It is best known for its heavenly scenic beauty. Shimla is the Capital city.
